    Mineral Fiber Insulation is the workhorse of our isolation materials. It is an insulation panel which provides acoustic isolation, as well as typical insulation properties. It offers excellent acoustic performance with and NRC of 1.00 (2”) and 1.05 (4″). The thermal performance has an R-Value of 4.20 (per inch of thickness). Auralex Mineral Fiber has a nominal density of 8 pounds per cubic foot (PCF). When compared to most standard, thermal, fiberglass insulation, it is far superior for reducing sound transmission. Mineral Fiber is most effective when used in combination with RC-8™ Resilient Channel and SheetBlok™ Sound Barrier (wall and ceiling isolation), or U-Boat™ Floor Floaters and SheetBlok™ Sound Barrier (floor isolation).

    Order Shipment:

    If your order is stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order.     Damages:

    Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to returns@tradatheaterequip.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.

    Cancellations & Refunds:

    All orders cancelled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.
